Order of Services for May 2024

Confession every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:00.

May 3 – Good Friday. 17:00 Vespers with the rite of taking out the Shroud.

May 4 – Great and Holy Saturday. 18:00 Blessing of Easter baskets. 23:20 Midnight vigil. Easter Matins and Divine Liturgy. Blessing of Easter baskets.

May 5 – Bright Resurrection of Christ. Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. 10:00 Morning Liturgy / vow / blessing of Easter baskets.

May 12 – The 2nd Sunday after Easter, of the Apostle Thomas. 1st chapter. 10:00 Morning Liturgy.

May 19 – The 3rd Sunday after Easter. Holy Myrrh-Bearing Wives. Song 2. Morning Liturgy at 10:00.

May 26 – The 4th Sunday after Easter, about the healing of the lame man. Song 3. Morning Liturgy at 10:00.

OUR PARISH

The Ukrainian Orthodox Parish of St. Mary the Protectress was formed in 1952 primarily by people from Eastern Ukraine who had undergone the horrors of the famine-genocide of 1932-33, the brutal occupation by the Communist regime, the terrors of war and the uncertainties of emigration to a new land whose official languages were unknown to them.
